As a popular asymmetrical multiplayer survival horror game developed by NetEase Games, Identity V divides players into two factions: Hunters and Survivors. Four Survivors work together to decode five Cipher Machines and escape through Exit Gates, while one Hunter hunts them down and eliminates them by placing them on Rocket Chairs. Costumes (skins) are important cosmetics in the game, divided into different tiers. While non-limited skins theoretically have the chance to return, some have been absent for years.
Emily Dyer (Doctor) - Yesterday: 708 Days Since Last Return
Its last return was on March 28, 2024 — two years have passed in the blink of an eye. Last year, the official team specifically optimized Bygone Days, upgrading its texture and details and taking its appearance to a new level. Bygone Days has always been highly popular, and with the recent optimization, its chances of returning via the 8th Anniversary vote are really high!
Emma Woods (Gardener) - Monstrous Bird: 470 Days Since Last Return
Strange Bird last returned on November 21, 2024 — nearly one and a half years ago. The design of Strange Bird is bold and grotesque, yet incredibly beautiful. I remember that during last year’s anniversary, Emma’s fans (dubbed "Gardeners") all voted for Early Clear; will everyone cast their votes for Strange Bird this year?
Andrew Kreiss (Grave Keeper) - Half-Elf Knight: 526 Days Since Last Return
Half-Elf Knight last returned on September 26, 2024. This skin boasts extremely high quality and stunning beauty. I remember writing about this skin before, and some fans in the comment section even mistook it for a limited S-tier skin — a clear sign that it hasn’t returned in a long time.
Michiko (Geisha) - Shiromuku: 708 Days Since Last Return
Shiro Mukuro last returned on March 28, 2024, alongside Bygone Days. This is the poster quality of an early S-tier skin, truly breathtakingly beautiful. Both her human form and Prajna form dance gracefully, making it an extremely stunning sight!
Qi Shiyi (Antiquarian) - Symphony of Ink: 589 Days Since Last Return
Since Mo Yun was launched in the Illusion Hall on July 25, 2024, it has never returned. Although it is a collaborative skin with the China Academy of Art, it bears no collaboration logo — meaning it belongs to the official, just like Gardener’s Early Clear. Its ink wash Chinese-style texture is truly amazing — elegant and high-end — and its chances of returning via this year’s anniversary vote are really high!
In addition, there are many B-tier skins without the limited tag that have never made a return.
Helena Adams (The Mind's Eye) - "Spring Outing": 708 Days Since Last Return
Spring Outing last returned on March 28, 2024. Wow, waiting for the return of such a Clue Store B-tier skin is even harder than for high-tier skins, as there are no voting events — it all depends on the official team remembering it. This skin is particularly youthful and lovely, with a four-leaf clover badge pinned to the chest and a bow tie design; it would definitely look even better if its face model were optimized!
Margaretha Zelle (Dancer) - Gymnast: 902 Days Since Last Return
Dancer’s Gymnast was obtained by participating in the 2020 Manor Relay Event, and its last return was through the 2023 re-run of the same event. This is even harder to get back than Clue Store skins — we have to wait for the event to be re-run, which could be at an unknown time.
Mike Morton (Acrobat) - Sanjin Watermelon Frost: 1261 Days Since Last Return
Although this skin for Mike is not limited, it is just as rare as a limited one. As an e-sports collaborative skin, the only way to obtain it is to wait for Sanjin Watermelon Frost to collaborate with Identity V again...
Eli Clark (Seer) - Future Sight: 1541 Days Since Last Return
Future Seer last returned on December 16, 2021. Although it is a New Year’s Day skin, the Christmas tree and mistletoe on it don’t look like they belong on a New Year’s Day skin at all. In fact, this skin has been forgotten by the official team...
Michiko (Geisha) - Solitude: 2661 Days Since Last Return
This is an event skin from the 2018 Thanksgiving. While it is classified as an event skin, it has actually become a symbol of veteran players. I believe many fans have never even seen this skin, right?
