Caesar – The Dilemma of a Shield Agent
When Caesar was first implemented, she was a popular pick for high-difficulty stages. But as Yocha’s all-around support capabilities came to light, the value of Caesar’s shield was significantly diluted. Moreover, new Main DPS like Rina—who come with built-in Super Armor and Invincibility Frames—have made Caesar’s survival support feel even more "dispensable." Today, while she still has a certain level of strength, few players go out of their way to include her in their teams.
Burnice White – Outclassed by Superior Mechanics
Burnice’s off-field damage was originally very smooth and neat, but her target-switching ability has always been a major flaw. After Vivian’s release, her powerful "Status Replication" mechanic has almost fully covered Burnice’s viable use cases. Nowadays, unless in specific scenarios, Burnice rarely has a chance to be fielded.
Billy – High Cost, Low Reward?
Billy possesses the valuable ability to apply full-phase Vulnerability for Imbalance, making him a theoretically versatile plug-and-play Agent—but his stats are set too conservatively. While he performs impressively with high investments (e.g., 1-W-Engine + 1 Signature Drive Disc), the cost of 3 high-rarity pulls (i.e., "3 Golden pulls") is far too low in cost-effectiveness for most players. If a more affordable Break-focused Agent is released in the future, Billy may well end up permanently benched.
Sid – Strong Stats, Clunky Mechanics?
As a new Agent in Version 2.2, Sid was originally highly anticipated. However, in actual combat, 0-W-Engine Sid suffers from severe "Steel Energy stalling" issues; while unlocking the 1st W-Engine eases the gameplay feel, it does not fundamentally fix the problem of sluggish output rhythm. The excessively long animations of her Chain Skills and Ultimate Skills also prevent her high multipliers from translating into actual damage. Today, she barely holds her ground with her stats, but if the meta continues to speed up in the future, Sid will likely fall out of relevance quickly…
Conclusion – Old Agents Deserve Another Chance
Each version brings new heroes and power spikes — but those who stood by us from the beginning shouldn’t be left behind so soon. A few mechanical adjustments or number buffs could easily bring these veterans back to life and diversify the game once again.
