Genshin Impact: Marionette Resurrection Clues Exposed, Personality Changes & Three New Characters Coming in Version 6.5!

Time: 2026-01-18 00:00:00

With the launch of Version 6.3 in Genshin Impact, many players have been wondering whether Marionette will eventually join the banner roster — especially considering how prominent she was in the recent storyline. I can confidently tell you that Marionette is clearly planned to become playable. Fontaine still has its final region yet to be unlocked, which should arrive around Version 6.7 alongside Marionette’s return.

In the notes Marionette left behind, she mentioned upgrading her self-preservation systems, and The Knave (Arlecchino) later said that Marionette had made arrangements to have her remains sent to Fontaine, where someone would “handle” them. As a robot, even though her outer shell was damaged, her core remained intact (she had backups). Since The Knave was tasked with transporting her remains back to Fontaine for repairs, it’s almost certain she’ll be added to the gacha pool.

Current leaks suggest that Marionette will return to Fontaine in Version 6.7, successfully revived, and will gain an Electro Vision. She’s expected to be positioned as a top-tier Electro DPS. Her in-game model at release will look completely different from her current appearance — which is why the devs went out of their way to hide her silhouette in official material.

It’s also rumored that her personality will change; she’ll no longer be as tsundere as before. This makes sense — after being offline once, a reboot would naturally wipe some logs and tweak behavioral traits.

Meanwhile, the new boy character Lohen has had his banner ID confirmed as 129. Since Varka is 128, this means Lohen will debut alongside Linnea and the new four-star Greta after Varka’s banner ends. Nikko and Marionette are scheduled for Versions 6.6 and 6.7 respectively. Notably, Lohen is a Wind-element polearm user who will join as part of the permanent roster, along with Greta — both hail from the Knights of Mondstadt. Since the new Mondstadt area, Dornman Port, wasn’t featured in Version 6.4, it’s likely reserved for Version 6.5. If any new developments emerge, I’ll share them with you right away.
