With a two Anemo and two Pyro team composition, even a C0 Varka can deliver impressive damage output. However, this also means that the constellation upgrades may not be as impactful as many players expect. So exactly how much improvement do C1 and C2 bring, and is it worth it for casual players to invest in pulling for constellations?

In this guide, we present real damage test comparisons for Varka at C0, C1, and C2, backed by actual in-game numbers.

C0 Varka — Baseline Strength at 100%

For the character build, C0 Varka is equipped with the Gest of the Mighty Wolf weapon and the Day of Defiance artifact set running ATK, ATK, and CRIT main stats. The final ATK reaches 2,492 with a CRIT Rate of 80% and CRIT DMG of 222.9%.

The team composition uses the Durin, Bennett, Wendy, and Varka setup, forming a two Anemo and two Pyro team. All five-star teammates are at C0 with R1 weapons, and all four-star teammates are at C6.

Test results show that Varka's first 2 rounds of Enhanced Normal Attacks plus 2 Special Charged Attacks deal a total of 1,192,482 damage. This is set as the 100% baseline.

C1 Varka — Strength at Approximately 109.5%

The character build and team composition remain identical to the C0 setup.

Test results show that Varka's first 7 hits of Enhanced Normal Attacks plus 3 Special Charged Attacks deal a total of 1,306,089 damage, reaching approximately 109.5% relative strength.

While the actual damage increase is only 9.5%, C1 brings a significant change to the gameplay rotation.

C1 Three Key Effects Explained

The first effect grants an extra Special Skill during the Enhanced State. After activating the Elemental Skill to enter the Enhanced State, Varka can immediately unleash a Special Skill or Special Charged Attack. This means during the Enhanced State, players can perform a total of 3 Special Skills or Special Charged Attacks instead of 2.

The second effect makes the first Special Skill deal double damage. The Special Skill or Special Charged Attack deals 200% of its original damage. This effect applies to the multiplier zone and is multiplicative with the existing skill multiplier, essentially doubling the damage of that hit. However, this buff is consumed after one use, meaning it only activates once per cycle.

The third effect is a hidden mechanic that many players overlook. C1 changes Varka's optimal DPS rotation to NA plus Charged Attack, then 3NA plus Charged Attack, then 3NA plus Charged Attack. This has a noticeable impact on the overall flow and smoothness of combat.

C2 Varka — Strength at Approximately 128.8%

Test results show that Varka's first 7 hits of Enhanced Normal Attacks plus 3 Special Charged Attacks deal a total of 1,536,312 damage, reaching approximately 128.8% relative strength.

In a full team setup, C2 compared to C0 offers a 28.8% damage increase, while C2 compared to C1 offers a 17.6% increase. The improvement from C2 is significantly larger than from C1 alone.

The C2 effect is straightforward but powerful. It has only one effect: each time a Special Skill or Special Charged Attack is used, it deals an additional hit with an 800% multiplier as AoE Anemo DMG. Assuming 3 Special Charged Attacks per rotation, this effectively adds 2,400% total multiplier in AoE Anemo DMG per rotation, which is a substantial boost.

Summary and Pulling Recommendations

C0 Varka deals a total of 1,192,482 damage at 100% baseline strength and is already sufficient for most in-game content.

C1 Varka deals a total of 1,306,089 damage at 109.5% strength. The improvement is limited but changes the attack rotation. Overall cost-efficiency is relatively low.

C2 Varka deals a total of 1,536,312 damage at 128.8% strength, making it the most significant upgrade among the three tiers.

For F2P and casual players, C0 Varka already performs well in a two Anemo and two Pyro team. While constellations offer improvements, they are not essential. If you are on a limited budget, consider saving your Primogems for other characters or weapons.

For players who want to min-max their damage, if you decide to pull for constellations, aim directly for C2. C1 alone offers a modest 9.5% increase with low cost-efficiency, while C2 provides a total 28.8% improvement over C0 that feels far more worthwhile.
