New Event: Lantern Rite (Starting Jan 30)
This event brings two major rewards:
- A free 4★ Liyue character selector
- Yaoyao’s new skin, which will be obtainable for free during the event.
HoYoverse has already revealed how to get Yaoyao’s new outfit, along with its in-game footage. Visually, the skin is a significant upgrade — improved hair textures, refined facial modeling, and overall higher fidelity compared to her default appearance.
Varka’s Best Team Confirmed for 6.4
Long-teased in leaks, Varka was officially announced as a 5★ Geo unit arriving in Version 6.4. As a follow-up character to Durin, he received another round of buffs in beta V3.
The best team composition so far is:
Varka + Venti + Durin + Bennett
This means Venti will once again benefit indirectly from a new banner character, while Bennett continues to provide unmatched team-wide buffs. With Durin and Varka both tied to the Magic System, this lineup could mark a major power spike for that archetype. Whether Varka lives up to expectations will be key.
Nicole: The Second Magic System Member
Details about Nicole remain scarce, but we know she’s a Pyro Catalyst user with an adult female model. In promotional material, she appeared in angelic form, granting group-wide buffs to allies. Given that the Magic System lacks a dedicated Pyro support, Nicole is almost certainly a survival-enhancing sub-DPS/buffer.
She’s expected to debut in Version 6.6, but will appear in story scenes alongside the other sorceress Alice during 6.4’s plot. Fans of the Magic System should definitely keep an eye out for these developments.
